The amplitudes of elliptical antenna arrays with 8, 12, and 20 elements are optimized using the Puma Optimization Algorithm (POA) to suppress the maximum sidelobe level (MSL) and reduce the half-power beamwidth (HPBW). Elliptical antenna arrays are preferred in broadband communication and radar applications due to their high gain and low MSL requirements. POA stands out as an effective method for solving complex optimization problems due to its strong search capability and fast solution time. In this study, simulations are conducted for elliptical antenna arrays with 8, 12, and 20 elements, achieving reduced sidelobe levels and improved main beamwidth. The results demonstrate the successful performance of POA on elliptical antenna arrays. This study highlights the potential of POA for future design applications.
