Abstract

The increased interest in natural products also in textile products in all over the world has caused a new trend by which the demands to the natural colorants come across again. These demands had triggered the scientists to search usage of different plants as natural dye sources. As a result of this, it can be easily found a lot of studies on the usage of natural dyes for textile coloring. In this study different odoriferous plants were used as natural dye sources and the dyeing effect of these natural colorants in wool dyeing have been investigated. Beyond this, by selecting odoriferous plants it was planned to give a well odor to the textile materials. It was observed that these natural dye sources can be used in coloring of wool and they can transfer their well odor partially to the fabrics.
