Abstract

Öz Osmanlı üretim yapısı içinde tekstil ürünlerinin büyük bir payı vardır. Özellikle saraylı kumaşlar arasında sayılan ve atkı ve çözgüsü içinde değerli madenlerden altın ve gümüşün kullanıldığı Kemha kumaşının üretimi, alım ve satımı sürekli devlet kontrolü altında tutulmaktadır. Pahalı kumaşlar arasında yer alan Kemha kumaşının üretimi için gerekli olan kemha tezgahlarının adeti, el değiştirmesi ve faaliyeti gerek esnaf yöneticileri ve gerek devlet yetkilileri tarafından sıkı sıkıya denetlenmekteydi. Nitekim 19. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde İstanbul içinde faaliyet gösteren kemhacı esnafının bir kısmının sicile kaydedildiklerini öğrenmekteyiz. Bu kayıtlardan; tezgah satışlarını, satış bedellerini, kime satıldıklarını ve satılan tezgahın hangi semtlerde bulunduğu bilgisini takip edebiliyoruz. İleride bulunacak yeni belgeler ışığında hakkında çok az şey bildiğimiz kemhacı esnafına ilişkin daha fazla şeyler söylemek mümkün olabilecektir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Kemha, Kemha tezgahı, Osmanlı, İstanbul. Abstract Textile products have a large share in the Ottoman production structure. Especially the production, purchase and sale of Kemha fabric, which is considered among the palace fabrics and which includes gold and silver from precious metals in its weft and warp, are kept under constant state control. The number, handover and activities of Kemha machines required for the production of the Kemha fabric, which is among the expensive fabrics, had been strictly controlled by both the director tradesmen and the state authorities. As a matter of fact, we learned that a part of the tradesmen operating in Istanbul were recorded in the registry in the first quarter of the 19th century. From these records we can follow the sales of the machine, sales prices, to whom they are sold and in which districts the machine is sold. In the light of the new documents to be found in the future, it will be possible to say more things about the tradesmen of kemha whom we know little about.
