Özet

Abbasi Halifesi Muʻtasım devrinde, Türk askerlerini yerleştirmek üzere kurulan Sâmerrâ şehrindeki Ulucami’nin banisi meselesi bu çalışmanın ana sorunsalıdır. Şehrin kuruluşu esnasında inşa edilen Ulucami, sonraki süreçte yıkıldığı ve yeni bir Ulucami yapıldığı halde, Muʻtasım’ı sonradan yapılan Ulucami’nin de banisi sayan yaklaşımlar mevcuttur.Bu çalışma, sonradan yapılmış Ulucami’nin Halife Mütevekkil devrinde, başka bir noktada yapıldığını kaynaklar üzerinden göstermektedir. Çalışmada Sâmerrâ şehrinin kuruluşuna değindikten sonra, birinci Ulucami’nin inşası ve ikinci Ulucami’nin inşası üzerinden konu ele alınmaktadır. 

During the Abbāsid Caliph Muʿtaṣim period, the issue of the founder of Great Mosque in the city of Sāmarrā, which was established to accommodate Turkish soldiers, is the main problem of this study. Great Mosque, which was built during the establishment of the city, was destroyed in the following period and a new Great Mosque was built. Notwithstanding, there are also approaches that consider Muʿtaṣim the founder of the Great Mosque, which was built later. This study shows through the sources that Great Mosque was made at another point in the period of Caliph Mutawakkil. After addressing the establishment of the city of Sāmarrā in the study, the subject is discussed through the construction of the first Great Mosque and the construction of the second Great Mosque.
