It is possible to influence people through verbal communication. Leaders who make effective speeches lead the masses
after them. Some leaders who wielded this power have influenced World history. Cinema, can reach the mind with both
sound and image, and even fictionalize the visual element in a fantastic universe. Therefore, it is assumed that it will be
important to analyze the way cinema constructs mythological subject. In this study, the god typology of the characters
in the ‘Thor’ was examined in line with the methodology of the History of Religions, which avoids questioning whether
the concept of god in any religion or mythology is god. As a result, although it is seen that different typologies are
fictionalized in the ‘Thor’, it has been seen that the ‘Odin’ is generally fictionalized within the framework of the ‘testing
god’ typology, and the ‘Thor’ is fictionalized in the axis of the ‘developing god’ typology. In the comparative analysis of
the original mythological narrative and the fiction of the film, it was seen that the elements existing in the Northern
mythology and perceived as ‘sacred’ were relegated to the ‘power’ and the ‘divine being’ was transformed into the
‘advanced alien’ phenomenology.
