The digital era highlights the use of digital tools as a new source of power and authority for individuals and societies, and the ability to effectively manage these tools. In this context, a new form of power has emerged in which control and direction mechanisms operate through digital platforms in a wide area from individuals’ daily life practices to their intellectual worlds. This form of power is “digital hegemony”, which is structured with digital elements and components and is a concrete manifestation of the reflections of digitalization on individuals and society. Digital hegemony, the hegemonic power of digitalization, shapes the behavior of individuals by using digital platforms and establishes an invisible surveillance and control system, ensuring the reproduction of social norms. The aim of the study is to create a theoretical intellectual map based on literature review by addressing the hegemonic reflections of digitalization on individuals and society from a socio-political perspective within the framework of their effects on individual and social dynamics. In this context, digital hegemony is not only limited to the technical functions of digital technologies, but also reveals the power and consent-based power relationship that affects the intellectual and action areas of individuals and societies. Therefore, this hegemonic process takes place in the form of pressure on the individual and society, both as a voluntary consent and as a means of coercion.
