In this paper, we study the effect of the carrier frequency offset on the performance of MC-DS-CDMA and OFDM systems. The degration of the signal-noise ratio (SNR), caused by the presence of carrier frequency offset is analytically evaluated. For both systems, we show that systems performance rapidly degrades with carrier frequency offset. In addition to this, we show that systems performance increases with the number of carrier and degrades with number of user. © 2005 IEEE.
