Özet
The use of natural phytochemicals in obtaining various metal oxides and use of these oxides in industrial and health fields is an interesting phenomenon. Zinc mineral is particularly remarkable because it plays a role in regulating metabolic activities. In this study, Rosa canina (rosehip) and Viburnum opulus (gila- buru) extracts in water were used to synthesize nano Zinc oxide by green synthesis method. ZnO-NPs forma- tion was confirmed by analysis methods such as XRD, SEM and FTIR. In addition, Topoisomerase-I enzyme inhibition, DNA cutting and binding analyses were performed by agar gel electrophoresis method. Antimicrobial activity analysis of nano ZnO particles was performed using two grams positive and two gram negative bacteria. Pure ZnO was formed in hexagonal structure. Peaks belonging to aromatic structure in FTIR analysis indicate trace amounts of phenolic residues in nano ZnO structure. In SEM, images of nano ZnO particles were observed.
