The computation of the tuning values of exponential chip weighting waveforms in direct-sequence code division multiple access communications over additive white Gaussian noise channels is performed. This is achieved by highlighting a simple relationship between certain properties of random spreading sequences. It is shown that there is no need to calculate the number of transitions which occur between two consecutive chips for computation of the tuning values.
