All Rights Reserved.The present action research aims to evaluate the effect of story mapping technique on the reading comprehension ability of a student with specific learning disability. The data were collected through observation, interview and reading comprehension inventory. The participant is a 6th grade student who is medically identified as having specific learning difficulty. The participant does not have any mental, physical, auditory and visual disability. The study conduct in a special education and rehabilitation center in 2017-2018 education year. Implementation process lasted 14 weeks, twice a week as one hour of lesson periods. At the end of the study it is found that story mapping technique is effective on the reading comprehension ability of the participant student. This result is supported by the observation and interviews of the family, teacher and researchers.
